Mr Rajendran completed 2 successful surgeries on me in the space on 12 months. The first, was a very difficult procedure, however, I would not trust my life or wellbeing with anyone else. Pre and post surgery, Mr Rajendran treated me with respect, honesty and directness. Whenever I needed a straight answer, he was able to provide it. During recovery from my first surgery, whenever a complication arose, Mr Rajendran was able to explain the situation and spoke to me like a peer, rather than speaking down to me, which was extremely refreshing. His reassurance and continued support gave me the confidence to proceed with my treatments, even when at times it was overwhelming. For my second surgery, there was an opportunity to have it done sooner with another Surgeon, however, I insisted on staying in Mr Rajendran’s care, due to the huge amount of trust and respect I have for him. Having now fully recovered from my surgeries, I would like to thank Mr Rajendran for everything he has done for me, and for giving me back my life. I hope to repay him for his help by helping others in whatever way I can, and making sure that I make the most of this opportunity.

I want to say a big thank you to Mr Nirooshun Rajendran and his team at King George's Hospital Ilford for the outstanding care and attention I received during my stay there in April 2024. I was diagnosed with bowel cancer following a routine government screening programme in March 2024. Prior to surgery Mr Rajendran listened with patience and understanding to my anxieties and answered all my questions. He put my mind to rest by explaining his surgical technique. His reassurance together with his warm friendly smile meant a lot to me. On April 11th 2024 he performed robotic recto-colon resection resulting in minimal blood loss and a rapid recovery. No colostomy bag was required which was brilliant news. As for pain relief I only needed paracetamol for 2 days. On the 3rd day I was ready for home with all systems working as normal. Histology report revealed stage 2 cancer which was completely removed with no further spread and no chemotherapy required. Mr Rajendran's professional robotic surgical skills are truly outstanding. The NHS are privileged to have such an experienced caring surgeon on their team

The routine colon screening program showed blood in my stool and I underwent a colonoscopy on 11th Jan 2024, I was diagnosed with colon cancer( stage 2) , Dr Rajendran carried out a robotic right hemicolectomy on 8th February 2024, one month later on the 12th march 2024 the histology report reported that I was clear of cancer, I am currently on a 5 year NHS program to monitor my condition generally every three months. Upon meeting Dr Rajendran and his team I felt I was in very good hands and he explained that the robotic method enabled me to have a quicker recovery with less blood loss and less pain, I am extremely thankful and grateful to have such a professional doctor and team caring for me, my recovery was very quick and I am virtually back to normal after four weeks, no pain killers after 1 week , the low residue diet continued for two weeks and now I can eat normally, it amazing to think that only two months ago having been diagnosed with malignant cancer I am now cancer free with no treatment needed

I have experienced many consultants over the past 30 year for my own and my mum's care and Dr Rajendran is an outlier! On top of what you'd expect from a consultant, namely technical skills, what Dr Rajendran has is incredible patience, he listens deeply, shows unmatched empathy to his patients and treats them with dignity and respect. It is so rare to find a clinician that has his knowledge as well as the emotional intelligence to genuinely care and love his patients. I think he has a super-power like no other Dr I have seen. Thanks for all you did for my mum!
